Acne Treatment Facial
Acne Facial
An acne facial is a targeted treatment designed to reduce breakouts, calm inflammation, and improve skin texture while preventing future blemishes. At The Makeup Monk | Beauty Services, our acne facials combine deep cleansing, professional exfoliation, hydrating and calming ingredients, and extractions when needed — all tailored to your skin type and sensitivity level.
What to expect
Consultation: A skin analysis to identify acne type (inflammatory, comedonal, cystic), triggers, and any contraindications (medications, retinoids, rosacea, etc.).
Deep cleansing: Gentle yet thorough cleansing to remove oil, makeup, and surface debris without stripping the skin.
Exfoliation: Chemical exfoliants (salicylic acid/BHA or lactic acid/AHA) or a gentle enzyme peel to unclog pores and promote cell turnover.
Steam and extractions: Controlled steam to soften pores followed by professional extractions to remove blackheads and whiteheads safely.
Targeted treatment: Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory serums or masks (e.g., niacinamide, benzoyl peroxide alternatives, zinc, sulfur, azelaic acid) to reduce redness and bacteria.
Hydration and barrier repair: Non-comedogenic moisturizers and calming agents (hyaluronic acid, ceramides) to restore the skin barrier.
SPF guidance: Sunscreen recommendations and post-treatment care to protect treated skin.
